Putting Careers into the Academic Curriculum - UK One Day Conference

Contents

Description:
The Dearing report and the recent QAA Code of Practice have both highlighted the importance of student careers guidance and embedding careers advice within undergraduate programmes of study. This event in March will highlight practical ways in which we can integrate career and graduateness skills within the academic curriculum for students of geography, earth and environmental sciences (GEES). The day will place emphasis on good practice examples of career activities, and give an opportunity to discuss embedding issues.
When and Where?
12th March, 2001 - Geological Society, London
Who Should Attend?
Anyone with an interest in enhancing their students' learning experience in Geography, Earth or Environmental Sciences. This event is free of charge (including coffee and lunch), however, participants will be required to meet their own travel and subsistence expenses.
