        	<title>New HEA GEES Subject Lead Announced</title>
        	<description>We are delighted to announce that the new GEES Subject Lead for the Higher Education Academy is Dr Helen Walkington <a href="http://www.heacademy.ac.uk/contacts/detail/ntfs/2009/Walkington_Helen_2009">http://www.heacademy.ac.uk/contacts/detail/ntfs/2009/Walkington_Helen_2009</a> . We will be working with Helen over the next months to ensure a smooth transition of GEES activities to the new HEA process.<br />

Helen will be taking this role from 1st November while retaining some activities at Oxford Brookes University. Helen is well known to many of you through GEES Subject Centre activities, publishing in Planet and running GEOVERSE, the undergraduate research journal <a href="http://geoverse.brookes.ac.uk/">http://geoverse.brookes.ac.uk/</a>&nbsp; <br />
