Follow up from Student-Staff discussion group
On the 27 November 2006 The GEES Subject centre held a Student and Staff discussion group to give both communities an opportunity to discuss issues within Higher Education, specifically Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences.
The objectives were as follows:
- Facilitate networking between staff and students between the two groups as well as within them.
- Identify areas of miscommunication between lecturers and students
- Compare the different backgrounds between these two groups and assess how these affect their interactions and work
- Identify how relations and interactions can be improved
- Write results up to be published in new student focused magazine
